21st Century Skills: Literacy in the Digital Age outlines four skill clusters - digital age literacy, inventive thinking, effective communications and productivity.  The North Central Regional Educational Laboratory® (NCREL), which published the report, was one of 10 federally funded laboratories to identify and specify skills required for a knowledge-based, global economy.
