What is the Educational Opportunity Center?

The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a federally funded TRiO program that provides educational information, planning, and assistance in completing applications for admissions, financial aid and scholarships to low income/first generation individuals.

Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a TRIO program 100% federally funded through the Department of Education, Title IV Higher Education Act. Administered through the Community College of Denver serving the six county metropolitan areas since 1974.

Eligibility

EOC services are free and available to individuals who:

  • are U..S. citizens or eligible non-citizens
  • are low Income and/or are the first in their family to attend college
  • are interested in pursuing a GED, vocational training, certificate program or 4 year college degree
  • have not received a 4-year bachelor degree
