What High School Programs are available at Front Range Community College?

High school students may choose to take college classes at Front Range Community College before they have graduated. Students may be eligible to take classes that will count for high school and college credit at the same time; other students may choose to just get a head start on college and not use the credit toward high school graduation.

High school juniors and seniors may take classes at FRCC through the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Act (PSEO). Courses taken at FRCC will appear on a FRCC transcript and may affect the student's eligibility for scholarships and admission to other collegiate institutions. Credit for courses successfully completed may be applied toward an associate degree and/or transferred to another college or university. Students need to start the PSEO process by contacting their high school counselor to determine if they are eligible to participate.

High school students are eligible to take classes without enrolling under the PSEO Act, and credit will still appear on a college transcript. Students are responsible for payment of their own courses. Students under age 17 who are interested in taking college courses for personal interest or high school credit must meet college entrance requirements. Students must place at college level on the ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer test then also receive approval from the Dean of Students Services at the campus the student plans to attend to be eligible to enroll. For more information, contact the High School Programs Coordinator at the campus the student plans to attend and refer to the links below.

High school students enrolled in certain career/technical programs while in high school may have earned credit at FRCC through articulated credit. Find out more about articulation agreements.
