Why should our school purchase an Odyssey National membership?

Purchasing an Odyssey mebership allows your school to receive the current season's Odyssey long term problems, curricular materials and quarterly Odyssey newsletters from the national organization (CCI).  It also allows your school to organize teams to work on the long term problems, generally one team per problem per age division (exceptions to this are by approvla of the Colorado State Association Director).  Each school's membership can support up to 10 teams

When should we purchase a membership?

Just as soon as possible at the beginning of the school year -- no later than December 31st of the current Odyssey season.  If your school participated in Odyssey last season, you will use the same memberhsip number as before.

Will the district be helping with membership fees?

Probably -- depending on the school district -- the Odyssey fees are as follows:

National membership fees of $135 PER SCHOOL -- are usually paid by the school or PTO/PTAC group

State membership fees of $50 PER SCHOOL -- are paid by the team either thru team members or PTO/PTAC group

Regional fees --do not apply at this time

What other support is in place for our coaches/coordinators?
