Spring and Summer Programming in the Children's Peace Garden is open for registration!
Gardening with Kids Workshop
Saturday, May 7 from 9am-11:30am - “Gardening with Kids” for adults and children. Come learn and explore with your kids in the garden! Learn about garden design, seed selection, starting and transplanting. There will be discussion and practical hands on fun for both children and adults.
After School Garden Club in May
Tuesdays in May we will be meeting at the greenhouse from 3:45-5:15pm for exploration in the garden. Our weekly topics will include: What’s Growing On in the Peace Garden ?, Busy Bees, Garden Games, and Planting Extravaganza. Each class is $10.
Summer Camp
This summer we will be hosting three weeks of summer camp. Two weeks will be half day camps Monday – Friday 9am-12pm for children ages 4-6 years old. These will be: June 20-24 "Art in the Garden" and July 25-29 "Bugs, Butterflies and Bees". One week will be a full day camp Monday-Friday 9am-3pm for children ages 6-10. This will be held July 11- July 15 "A Taste of All the Garden Has to Offer." All three weeks of summer camp will feature new and engaging activities.
Field Trips and Classroom Visits
We continue to offer our popular field trip and classroom visit options to local elementary age children. Curricular themes include community, planting, composting, insects and pollinators and harvesting and eating. All programs comply with current Colorado Model Content Standards for K-5th grade.
