At a reception on October 28, 2010, the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley awarded 77 grants totaling $30,000 to individual classroom teachers and educational programs throughout the school district.

Gang Response Intervention and Prevention Program

What is GRIP?
GRIP is a Gang Response and Intervention Program that is funded through the City of Longmont offering early prevention at Elementary School levels and intervention and prevention for all youth within our city. GRIP works closely with the St. Vrain Valley School District, Longmont Police Department, and Probation by providing education to empower youth in decision making around gang involvement.

Colorado Odyssey of the Mind

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Kids apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program.

St. Vrain Valley School District, K-12

St. Vrain Valley School District is the educational home of more than 24,000 of Colorado’s students. The tenth largest school district in the state, St. Vrain Valley operates 48 schools that are spread over 411 square miles. The makeup of the schools include: 25 Elementary, 9 Middle, 1 Middle/Senior, 7 High, 2 Alternative, and 4 Charter.
