Through singing, body movement, drumming and the introduction of a variety of instruments and activities, children learn the basics of music, while practicing age appropriate social and motor skills. The core curriculum reinforces musical concepts such as fast and slow, loud and quiet, starting and stopping on cue. Special focus, at this age, is placed on becoming familiar with the musical scale, distinguishing high from low notes, varying rhythms,and even major versus minor keys. Most importantly, children have a great time in every class and come away knowing that they are already great musicians.
